This drink, with the healing and anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric, cinnamon and ginger, will make you feel warm from the inside out. You can drink this every night to fully enjoy the health benefits.
1 cup plant-based milk – almond, coconut or oat
1 teaspoon freshly cut turmeric or turmeric powder
1 teaspoon freshly cut ginger or ginger powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, or a cinnamon stick
1 teaspoon coconut cream or oil
A dash of black pepper
In a small pot, heat the milk until it’s simmering.
Add the spices and stir in.
Cover and let the spices brew for 10 – 15 minutes.
Remove the pot from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
Add the coconut cream or oil.
Pour into a drinking mug and sprinkle the black pepper on top.
Make sure to enjoy it while it’s warm.
Both coconut cream or oil are fine to use, the turmeric needs a fat to activate it, and the black pepper enhances bio-availability (your stomach can absorb it fully).
